Hi, I'm John Gozdzialski. I grew up in Spooner, Wisconsin, which is in the NW part of the state. In 2001, I graduated with magna cum laude honors from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. I majored in accounting and minored in business management. After college, I worked at firms that offered various accounting services; from payroll and bookkeeping, to individual and business tax preparation for various-sized companies. I then gained experience with tax preparation for high net-worth individuals and their businesses in the Twin Cities while working at a couple of the nation's Big 10 accounting firms. After years of 90 - 100 hour weeks during tax season, I decided to go off on my own in Minneapolis, MN and started JFG Tax & Accounting, LLC. I moved to Wisconsin in 2023 to be closer to family. In 2025, I rebranded to JFG Tax & Advisory, LLC.
When I'm not working, I'm an avid fisherman who enjoys the outdoors. I love being in my boat at sunsets walleye fishing when there's no ice, then in my ice shack ice fishing during the winter. I also like to camp and bow hunt for whitetail deer.

Bookkeeping
No para-professionals at my firm. All the bookkeeping is done by myself, a CPA with over 25 years of experience, issuing tax basis financial statements on either a monthly or quarterly basis. We’ll go through your financial statements together and review your business's performance for the period. Using your year-to-date financials, we can estimate the business’s activity for the remainder of the year and determine your tax position come year-end.
Government Correspondence / Audit Representation
Did you receive a notice from the IRS or a state government agency? No worries. Sometimes the government assesses a tax liability that is a lot higher than what you actually owe. I will help determine the reason you received the notice, as well as resolve it for you.
Are you getting audited? As a rule of thumb, when you get in trouble with the law, you don’t want to talk to the police. As the saying goes, “anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law”. So you hire a lawyer to represent you because they understand the underlying law and its relation to your situation. Same thing applies when you are getting audited by a government agency for taxes. Let me represent you. I’ll take the time to understand your situation, educate you on the related tax law, correspond with the government agents for you, and get you in the best position possible.
